let's DO SOME GOOD

"Another day of winging it."

INVITE ME TO SPEAK AT YOUR EVENT

There is nothing I love more than telling stories, sharing insights, and enjoying sacred moments with others.

As the founding pastor of an urban, Canadian church, I've learned a lot about being a Jesus follower in a post-Christendom culture. Together with my congregation, I've learned how to connect with the young and young at heart, how to create (decently) healthy church cultures, and how to bridge the gap between the secular and sacred.

And I've got lots of really embarrassing stories to prove it.

I love speaking to diverse groups of people, from card-carrying Christ followers to skeptics; seasoned saints to young adults and teens. I love sharing with congregations and conference attendees and students and campers. I am convinced the good news is ACTUALLY GOOD NEWS and I'd love to share it with you.

Kevin engages issues in ministry most pastors never touch. As founding leader of Eucharist church in Hamilton Ontario, I have watched him pastor with bold theological imagination and a fortitude that comes from a burning love for God’s Mission in Jesus Christ. He is rare in his refusal to withdraw from tough situations. He is persistent in his careful discernment. He makes mistakes, but with humility and repentance. In the years to come, I am confident he has much more to teach me in ministering Christ’s Kingdom amidst the post Christian cultures of the twentieth first century.

You have a really nice smile. Don't lose that. That's a great smile.
RICHARD ROHR
(I JUST RAN INTO HIM ON THE STREET AND HE SAID THAT)

Kevin has the unique talent of being able to speak and connect to people across generations, traditions, and church experiences. He makes someone who has never been to church feel comfortable while making someone from church feel the right amount of uncomfortable. And all the while he keeps everyone laughing. He is a gift to the Church, present and future.
LEANNE FRISEN, PASTOR AND WRITER

Kevin brings an energy to his speaking that engages the listener and moves beyond any single demographic or generation.
BRIAN BYLSMA, CHAIR, HOPE FELLOWSHIP CHURCH

Eucharist Church is discovering new ways to bring people with diverse backgrounds to the table where they encounter God, each other, and a space for reconciliation.
DALLAS FRIESEN, DIRECTOR OF CONGREGETIONAL DEVELOPMENT, CANADIAN BAPTISTS OF ONTARIO & QUEBEC

Kevin is not nearly as funny as he thinks he is.
ZAK MCDONALD, COMEDIAN

Kevin is a dynamic speaker who brings incredible energy and a sharp theological mind to his messages. He loves to bring scripture to life in ways that bridge the gaps of history, culture, and context. His creativity and passion to communicate the good news we have in Jesus is contagious. Kevin has a wonderful ability to inter-weave ancient stories with current ones so that we open ourselves up to truth at deeper levels. On top of that he has a great sense of humour and it is easy to listen to him for hours... some of us have!
